Oh, ok. I'm just catty, then.

Thank you, internet, for the clarification. It's not that I resent the idea of an inexperienced, gender-swapped Bush clone a heart-attackbeat away from the presidency, I'm just jealous that she's prettier than I am. Also, it's no big deal to make rape victims pay for their own rape-kits; they like, totally were asking for it. And, besides, omg, look at that hair; it's so last season.

I think I'm going to declare today another "satire day."

The best comparison I've seen made is that you don't make victims of robbery pay for the investigation; this shouldn't change just because the scene of the crime is a vagina instead of a household. Crude, but true.

Actually, the women who hate Sarah Palin the most (as I've noted elsewhere) look uncannily similar to her, or, in fact, better than her. (See Tina Fey's work on SNL.)

FWIW, she does seem to at least partially be poking fun at herself for writing that article, like with the rape test kit thing.

But, honestly, saying Palin's suffering from some kind of woman-on-woman bias annoys me. There are just as many guys who viciously tear into her -- Matt Damon's YouTube clip is a cathartic thing to watch -- and really it's just that women can rip on her more openly and viciously without fear of being attacked as sexist.

And it's honestly not any worse than "Bush Derangement Syndrome" was when people first realized what a monster he was post-9/11. It only seems harsher by comparison because we've had years for Bush hatred to simmer down into low resentment, and because the Bush years have worn away any patience and sympathy the Left used to have.
